Horny Train Humps Truck [PIC]

Posted by Artem Russakovskii on July 4th, 2009 in Entertainment, WTF?

Updated: October 6th, 2009

Mom sent me this picture the other day, taken in Kharkov, Ukraine, my home city.

My question is… wtf? I'm assuming the truck started where the road was – what kind of speeds were involved here? Those trains usually go at speeds around 15-25mph… No word on the injuries.

image Crash is one of the new shows I’m into and Panic is one of the most likeable and original characters on the show. I really think he’s going to be back after this show – it’s his breakthrough performance.

So, in, I think, episode 4 Panic (Jocko’s character) goes to the studio and raps for the first time. What comes out is quite amazing, I recommend you watch that episode for a more complete experience. Otherwise, proceed to the MP3 that I got directly off Jocko’s myspace page.

You can play it right on this page (Edit: download link removed, per Jocko's request in the comments) or support Jocko by buying his album off Amazon for only $0.99 …

Best Current Shows On TV That I’m Addicted To

Posted by Artem Russakovskii on October 12th, 2008 in Entertainment

Updated: November 16th, 2008

There are some shows on TV that make me vomit (hint: most, especially on MTV). Others don’t spark any interest at all. But there are select few that are anywhere from great to outstanding. I’m here to help you sort through all the bullshit.

Here is my list (these shows are relatively new, I didn’t want to include classics, like Seinfeld):

1. The Unit. Dennis Haysbert (that’s president Palmer from 24) and his crew make The Unit simply amazing. Each episode offers a new unique captivating mission, while sticking to the main plot. Battle action and The Unit’s family lives are mixed together perfectly. I recommend watching from season 1. A+.

Most Awesome Halloween Costume. Signed, Apple Fanboy.

Posted by Artem Russakovskii on October 28th, 2007 in Awesomeness, Entertainment, Humor

Can you think of a better Halloween costume this year than what these guys came up with? Lifesize iPhones, coming to a Halloween party near you. Normally, I'd say, this is dorky, but… it's just awesome. Imagine wearing this to a club, you'd be the life of the party.

Terminator 4 Salvation: The Future Begins (2009)

Posted by Artem Russakovskii on October 20th, 2007 in Awesomeness, Entertainment

Updated: December 16th, 2007

The next Terminator is coming. Who's excited?

Here's the plot: After the drastic effects of Terminator 3, the story continues as John Connor and soon to be wife Kate Brewster realize they must create a resistance organization with Earth's remaining survivors against the army of robots slowly being built up by Skynet. As they are building this resistance, one survivor happens to be a traitor in disguise, and has a secret that nobody would ever come to suspect.

The good news is that the movie is now in pre-production, the script is done, and shooting should begin in 2008. Terminator 4 will come out in June 2009 if everything goes as planned.

The bad news is that Arnold will not …

Portal By Valve – The Most Entertaining Game In A Long Time

Posted by Artem Russakovskii on October 14th, 2007 in Awesomeness, Entertainment

Updated: October 28th, 2007

The saddest part of growing up for me is probably the realization that games don't entertain me nowadays as much as they used to. OK, maybe not the saddest, but it's up there along with having to "work", not being able to "get trashed like there's no tomorrow", and behaving like "an adult".

But where was I? Oh yeah. Even though graphics and realism improve every year, my desire to play anything goes down at the same rate. Valve seemed to know this quite well, so it promised to do everything in its power to satisfy me.

Enter the long awaited Portal. Combine the Halflife 2 engine with the power of a portal gun and brain busting riddles, add …

Hiro Nakamura: Actor… Coder

Posted by Artem Russakovskii on October 26th, 2006 in Entertainment

teleporter1ok.jpgPublished in Wired magazine, here's the story of Hiro, my most favorite character on the show Heroes.

Millions of viewers of NBC's Heroes know actor Masi Oka as Hiro Nakamura, the bored young Japanese office worker who discovers he has the power to alter time and teleport. What they probably don't know is that he's been working behind the scenes for years as one of Industrial Light & Magic's top programmers.

In an ensemble cast that features solid acting all around, Oka steals the show every time he's on the screen. The show literally has his Hiro living out the exploits of his own comic book, 9th Wonders.

Since graduating from Brown University in 1997, Oka has worked on more
